Zhi Shi Xuan Wu, which is written in the middle tablet was the name of Wudang Mountain during the reign of Emperor Jia Jing. Xuan is a reference to Daoism, but also refers to the god of the north known as Zhen Wu. You are greeted by the gate as you ascend to Wudang Mountain. |
